Dr Deepak Goyal, renowned cartilage and patellofemoral surgeon from India has many international friends in Asia, Europe and USA. He is also a longtime friend of his colleague sports knee surgeons in Iran. The members of Iranian Society of Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology have appreciated Dr Goyal’s scientific work for over 10 years now. Hence, he frequently gets invite to share his scientific knowledge during their scientific meetings. In the past, he has attended 1^st and 2^nd ISKAST meeting (2010, 2012) held at beautiful Kish Islands situated in Gulf of Persia and also 4^th ISKAST meeting held in Tehran (2016). Apart from this, he also attended Tehran Knee Arthroscopy Course and performed a live surgery in 2014.

This long-term relationship developed into a further milestone, when Prof Mohammad Razi and his team from ISKAST decided to confer the honorary fellow award of ISKAST to Dr Deepak Goyal during a glittering Grand Gala Dinner Ceremony on 15^th February 2018 at Kish Islands, Gulf of Persia. The moment is of great importance to us at SKC (Saumya Arthroscopy & Sports Knee Clinic) and we are very much proud to announce this great feat of our consultant.
