BMI
(Body Mass Index) is measure of body fat based on
height and weight that applies to both adult men and
women. It gives a scientific calculation about our
ideal weight. This measures what should be the ideal
weight for our height. If a person is overweight by 10
kg, that means he is loading his knee joint by 5 kg
when standing on both limbs and adding a load of 10 kg
when standing on one limb. One can imagine, why his
knee joint is giving him lot of pain and trouble.
