A meniscus is a C shaped disc between the two bones of our knees, namely Femur and Tibia. A Meniscus tear can occur due to a small household twisting injury or due to a twist during the sports. It causes catching, locking symptoms or can cause pain on knee movements.
Generally MRI is the best tool to confirm the diagnosis and decide the grade of injury. Grade III or a complete tear usually requires a key hole surgery.
